Summer Conferences
Throughout the summer, departments and units at Saint Louis University host conferences and research programs for students, faculty, staff and other members of the SLU community.
The Department of Chemistry at Saint Louis University will host the undergraduate summer research program from June to August 2025 on SLU's campus. Undergraduate researchers in this program will work in active research groups directed by the Department of Chemistry faculty members.
Potential research projects in all subdisciplines of chemistry are available to participants. Applicants must identify three chemistry faculty members whose research most interests the applicant in their application.
Application
Applicants must complete the online application. In addition to the form, applicants are asked to email their unofficial transcript and one letter of reference to the director at ryan.mcculla@slu.edu.
Applications are reviewed frequently until the available openings are filled. Those received by March 15, 2025, are assured of full consideration.
Eligibility
Current undergraduate students with at least two semesters of coursework remaining before obtaining a bachelor's degree with a chemistry, biochemistry or chemical engineering major are eligible. Students in closely related fields may be considered; however, these students are encouraged to contact the program director before applying. All applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
