About the SLU Poll Team
Director Steven Rogers, Ph.D.
Steven Rogers, Ph.D., associate professor of political science in the College of Arts and Sciences, is the SLU/YouGov Poll director. Rogers received his Ph.D. in politics from Princeton University. Rogers' research focuses on elections, particularly at the state level. His in-progress book manuscript addresses the question, “Do elections hold state legislators accountable for their own performance?” Rogers’ research has appeared in top disciplinary journals such as the American Political Science Review and the American Journal of Political Science. Before joining Saint Louis University, Rogers was a post-doctoral fellow at Vanderbilt University, where he contributed to the Vanderbilt Poll.
Associate Director Kenneth Warren, Ph.D.
Ken Warren, Ph.D., received his Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and has over 30 years of professional polling experience. Warren is the author of several publications in the area of electoral behavior and public opinion research, including "In Defense of Public Opinion Polling" (Westview, 2001) and "Encyclopedia of U.S. Campaigns, Elections, and Electoral Behavior, Vols 1 and 2" (Sage, 2008), as general editor and contributor, and "Public Opinion Polls" (Wiley StatRef, 2014), among others.
