Role in the Reinert Center
As a Digital Learning Specialist, Beth works with faculty to devise and implement effective teaching practices, with a particular focus on distance education and online course design. She stays current on teaching technologies and tools; helps facilitate workshops and online courses dedicated to effective teaching practices; and works with faculty transitioning to or currently teaching in online formats.

Biographical Information
Prior to joining the Reinert Center in July 2023, Beth taught for more than five years at the post-secondary level. She most recently was a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of History at SLU, teaching courses in-person and online on world history and the history of medicine. Additionally, Beth taught courses at Missouri University of Science and Technology and St. Louis Community College. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theater, Master’s degrees in History and Humanities, and a Ph.D. in European History.
